Were we more stupider before the internet?

What did we use to do when we didn't know something? We sure as hell didn't go running to the library every time we needed to know something.

Like last week I needed to know how to clean crayon out of a dryer drum (don't ask). Google told me in two seconds. What would I have done before Al Gore's information super highway?

And am I the only one who misses the fact that I used to actually get something out of reading the morning newspaper?

I'd say we were much much smarter before the Internet. Being forced to read the paper, read books etc. developed the brain more than simply typing it into Google. But I guess if you define smarter as looking up misc. factoids with much ease I guess we're smarter...

I did and she didn't know. FWIW, the answer is WD-40.

Then you would've had to fall back on the old knowledge that the answer is always WD-40. Before the internet, people knew this.

I know I never would've made the statement, "were we more stupider" about anything before the internet or since the internet.
