is this a terrible bubble fold?

I figured i was proabrly 50/50 and not being desperatelty short i could afford to pass here and steal later on. I now however think that calling might have been better

Any thoughts?

You made the right fold, in my opinion....

It's gonna depend on any specific reads, but unless button is quite tight, I'm calling. UTG big stack was already out of the hand, so I've got to figure his pushing range includes lots of hands you're ahead of, and only five you're way behind (TT-AA).

One way to think about this is that if you're folding 99 (and BB is doing the same), it's correct to push pretty much any two from the button. (I haven't actually worked out the numbers, but I'm almost 100% sure of this.)

Could be a steal attempt as well. I am calling!

Being that the vast majority of players neither know that nor have the cajones to act on it even if they did know it, how much does that really matter?

He very likely has one big card, one medium card to big card, or any pair.

You should be better than a coinflip most times.

Thanks for all of the comments.

If i had 10,10 or above i would have defintely called. 9,9 is marginal here i believe because of the huge stack UTG. I feel i have less to gain by gambling here becuase even if i double up UTG is still double me again.

Does the size of UTG stack make people think differently about calling here?

Also i believed it was better to fold and then steal PF then risk a potential 50/50 here
