I sit down at the table, getting moved from a broken game in the CO and fold. Next hand I get 7/images/graemlins/diamond.gif 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif and open in the HJ. The CO looks at me and, as he coldcalls, says "you haven't had a bad beat yet" making it clear he's going to try to give me one.
As I thoguht to myself 'i'm just as likely to give a bad beat here' I protested taht i'd only been at the table four hands. He said that didn't matter, and I said "yeah, I've never had a bad beat in my entire poker career" only mildly sarcastically.
The old codger at the other end of the table pipes up with a 100% serious "I believe it"
