I need thoughts, damnit! Maintenance is a BIG issue here, so keep that in mind. I have my choices narrowed down to 4.

Well, I couldn't fit comfortably in either of these...but if I had to pick one I'd probably go with the Honda.

People like the A3?? That's a wagon only right?

I dont like any of these, personally. Get a '05 Maxima.

I voted for '05 Acura.

All things considered, I'd buy something 3 yrs old Japanese so I wouldn't have to worry about maintanence & would enjoy depcreciation.

Not really a wagon - more like a 5 door hatch back. The hatch is great for odd sized cargo. I'm also a big fan of the way Audis and higher end VWs handle.

I just got a Saab 9-2x...great hatchback. Essentially an Impreza WRX. With the whole GM employee discount thing I was actually able to get it for less than the WRX.

You should get a Infiniti G35 coupe. That car is money.

Just got the G35 Sedan on Friday. That car is also money. 298hp. Car go fast. 4 moving violations in the first night of driving.

The only car you should be considering.

I second this, if I had the money to drop this is the car it would be on. Perfection.

RSX clearly dominates all choices, especially if your going to tune it.

Find a way. Poker more.

Or maybe just go test drive one...make sure you have the salesperson demo the VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control), which can be turned on and off (unlike other cars in its class). By turning it off, it corners sorta like a Formula 1 car...if that's your thing. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

No tuning for me, considering the only one I'm considering financing would be the BMW. The rest would be lease cars. Plus, I'm not a big fan of Japanese tuning...there's just a bad stigma with that. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

My bud has a Nissan 350Z, which is basically the same damn car. The VDC is a cool little feature, but it's nothing revolutionary. The BMW has DSC, the A3 has ESP, etc.

Anyways, I'm not simply confined to these 4 cars of course. If anyone has an idea for a car that's $25,000 or less, feel free to toss it out there. My priorities in a car right now:

1. Handling
2. Speed/acceleration
3. Safety

Oh, and it MUST come in a manual.

Alright, but the WRX beats all four of your poll choices in all categories listed above. Of course I won't argue against the STI, except that you wanted it to be $25k or less (assuming a new car).

I think you meant to reply to me. I don't like the looks of the new Charger. I appreciate what they're trying to do, but I think it's just not working. I love the looks of the new Mustang, but Dodge botched the Charger.

The WRX is fast and handles very comptetently, but I hate the way it drives. The steering is numb, the gearbox is clunky, and the suspension feels like crap over bumps.

Plus, I'm not so sure the WRX beats EVERY car on my list in safety. The Volvo especially is extremely safe.

Are there factory options to have the doors welded shut, and a confederate flag painted on the roof? Otherwise I have no interest.

What about a 2005 MINI S? 6 speed manual, 168 hp, super speed and handling, very safe, and under 25k.
