I'm not really new to PLO but have not played it for a while and am a bit rusty, so wondering about this hand.
This might be totally standard for you guys but just wanted opinions as I feel I've been playing holdem too long now and my PLO is not so good because of it /images/graemlins/smile.gif

1/2 PLO Prima 7 handed

Dealt UTG - J/images/graemlins/spade.gif9/images/graemlins/spade.gif9/images/graemlins/heart.gif8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

I limp, 4 calls, cutoff minraises, button and BB fold, everyone else calls

Flop 5 handed ~$25

10/images/graemlins/spade.gif6/images/graemlins/heart.gif9/images/graemlins/diamond.gif

I check, MP bets 20, CO calls, I c/r to $60 intending to call a push from either player who both cover me, I have $150 left.

Any comments appreciated

Well, a set vs. str8 is 35% to win with 2 cards to come. So I would only go all-in if I knew I were getting 2:1 pot odds, which will probably only happen if 2 people flopped the nut str8. I don't really like check-raise, but check-call, check-fold, leading out / folding to a raise are all possibilities given your read on the action. Don't forget you are sorely dominated by somebody with TT and the str8 is a 65% favorite over you.

he has 8J also, giving him an open ended draw to a higher straight even if he doesnt fill up. i can't see how you can fold here, especially with 3 way action.

This hand (OESD to the nut straight + set) is actually favourite over a made straight without redraw (app. 60/40). It's only TTxx that you are really worried about.

I like the line that hero took in this hand.

thanks for replies guys, like I said I'm rusty and was pretty sure my line was ok, obviously TT is a worry but with these players I was willing to take the risk, given I had a decent redraw. The standard of PLO I've seen online is pretty bad, so as stated I c/r intending to call a push from the "nuts".

I don't have the HH right now, but I'll post the results tomorrow.

Ok, to finish off the hand

MP pushed, CO folded and ofc I called.

MP shows 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif7/images/graemlins/heart.gif6/images/graemlins/club.gifK/images/graemlins/spade.gif for the nut str8

Flop
10/images/graemlins/spade.gif6/images/graemlins/heart.gif9:diamonds:
Turn
4/images/graemlins/diamond.gif
River
A/images/graemlins/club.gif

Obviously no help for me and I lose the hand, happy with the way I played it though. My EV was ok here, although it's probably a lot closer if opponent had a decent redraw.

From 2dimes:

Omaha Hi: 820 enumerated boards containing Ts 9d 6h
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Ks 8s 6c 7h 356 43.41 455 55.49 9 1.10 0.440
Js 9s 8d 9h 455 55.49 356 43.41 9 1.10 0.560

Also, my EV on the turn, if I had check/called

Omaha Hi: 40 enumerated boards containing Ts 9d 4d 6h
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Ks 8s 6c 7h 24 60.00 16 40.00 0 0.00 0.600
Js 9s 8d 9h 16 40.00 24 60.00 0 0.00 0.400
