Did I play this ok? Should I of raised more on the flop?

After he raised me on the flop I had to either fold or push because my stack was so small correct? Calling makes no sence to me...

Raise more preflop. I would raise to 75 after a limper.

As for if you can get away from this hand on the flop or not, I don't know. In my experience a flop minraise usually means he has a hand that beats overpair but would really really like you to stay in the hand.

With blinds at 10/15, 640 is not a small stack. But without a read, I would have been more inclined to think he had the nine (one of them) than trips; most people slowplay the latter.

I raise to between 90 and 125 preflop in level 1 with AA/KK/QQ. You don't want to play AA against 3+ players and a raise to 75 or less will NOT get rid of any pocket pairs or any other random junk that these idiots like to play.

2 things: First of all if you raised more preflop which you should have you probably would have still gotten called. However you still need to have raised more preflop to at least 75. My feeling about any two cards in the game preflop early in the game is that they arn't worth going broke over. I would rather survive with 600 chips till the 75/150 blinds and take my chances there because either way in most games you are going to have to push.

Secondly yeah that flop is a tough one to get away from. Another problem with the beginning of a game is that it's hard to get a read on a person because you lack info.
Tough hand to lay down on the flop but see I might be cautious because of that 7. Someone could have called with something like A7.... It would rock if BigWig comments on this. He usually has knowledgeable advice imo.

Raise more preflop. You dont want 3 callers. Raise to at least 75 considering there is already a limper in there, maybe even more. His post flop minraise should have set your alarm bells ringing... A minraiser wants action, and considering you raised PF and bet a decent amount on the flop, he is showing real strength inviting more action from you... Just remember that getting aces doesnt mean that you have to throw all your money into the pot regardless of what comes.

1st round I raised AA UTG to 70 yesterday. I got 4 callers!Rainbow flop (K,Q, rag), so I moved all-in! That's the right move, right?

One called and I won the hand. There was also the usual complaint by a by-stander: "Uh, comon, always you pushers, let's play poker". /images/graemlins/grin.gif
