Pun with historic content

Well, this isn't really a pun, but I thought that the phrase "Lombardy Party" (italian costume theme party?) sounded neat.

My buddy (who's reading stuff about politics during the Italian Renaissance), replied:

"No [censored] way I'm goint to the Lombardy party. What do you think I am, stupid? I suppose it's a big [censored] meeting hall with large curtains around the perimeter, yes? Have fun!!"
