View Full Version : My daughter ate 30 shrimp...

jakethebake

She is 1 1/2 and weights 20 lb.

When we finally refused to give her any more, she climbed down frok her chair with a big smile and just went about her business like she hadn't just practically doubled her weight. WTF???!!!

Anyway, afterwards, my mom is trying to figure out how to find prop bets for her. We figured we could handicap it on a lb for lb basis. She's 20 lb so if she were up against a 200 lb man, he'd have to eat ten for her one. How many people could eat 300 shrimp?

Don't turn your daughter into a fat pig and encourage her into eating contests. I think its a bad idea, but do as you will.

Heh. We told the babysitter to feed the kids hot dogs for supper. My son is 2.5.

We got home asked how it went and she said fine except he ate 5 hot dogs...............

Always specify not only what, but also how much your babysitter should feed the kids!!!

Edit: Beautiful kid BTW.

234 here....but they were Sizzler all-you-can-eat type shrimp. I still think I can eat your (cute) kid under the table in a heart-beat.

On a more important note...

You are very lacking in the refridgerator magnet contest...try to keep up.

First off, the Sizzler in Fullerton California on Harbor Blvd just north of Berkeley Avenue has the best damn breaded shrimp imaginable (Their tarter sauce is absolutely perfect). Next, you really need to learn how to shrink your photos a bit. And lastly, your daughter is adorable. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Very cute kid.

I'd pwn her an eating contest. I could eat at least 250 buffalo shrimp. They're my 4th favorite food.

Don't let her eat too much, or she'll become overweight and develop back pain. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm surprised this many people think they could out eat her on a lb for lb basis. I know I couldn't do it. She weighs 20 lb and she ate 30 shrimp! Without breaking a sweat. We stopped her at 30 and she was still all smiling and seemed to be feeling no discomfort at all. For the people that think they could, what do you weigh?

Hmmm, that's like 300 shrimp for me. I'd say I have a 35% success rate.

Maybe next time we'll just let her eat until she quits.

Had the same thing happen with a babysitter who let my kid have 5 hot dogs. Always specify limits.

Once ate 1.5 lbs of shrimp (pre-cooked weight). I was sick to my stomach for a few hours. Pound for pound, your little angel would totally own any 200 lb adult. No way I'm taking any prop bets on this one.

BTW, happy kid pic of the year.

A couple questions:

How many of those pies did she eat?

Why did you leave the butter out on the counter?

Those aren't pies. They're those wicker paper plate things discussed in another thread last week. There was actually some weird story behind the butter sitting there, but I can't remember what it was. We just fixed then ate dinner though so why wouldn't there be butter on the counter?

Anyway, jake, you should be making big prop-bet cash off your daughter.

And come up w/ some stories to post more pics of her, she's super-cute.
