Is this a big jump, or is the difference in better players not very noticeable?

Just move up, or try the $55s if you have the roll.

I have seen many posts recently about going straight to the 55s from the 22s if you have the bankroll and that there is a logjam of good players at the 33s. Personally, I'd give the 33s a few tries and see how you like them. They aren't much harder than the 22s and the jump to 55 can be a scary one.

I have the bankroll for 55s and am just jumping up to them from the 33s and it seems like a big jump (since I'm used to 11 dollar increments in SNGs). I couldn't imagine the jump going from 22s directly into the 55s.

Finally, through my limited experience at the 55s the quality of play, while not great, is much better than the quality of play at the 22s/33s.

With that being said, I personally cannot wait for the 109s. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dont go from 22s to 55s, its retarded. Prove that you can beat the 33s first and then move up.

I agree. I've heard people saying the 33s are full of great players and i think its nonsense...

I think this is solid advice. While the quality in play may not be hugely different between 33s and 55s, it's still going to be different, and the 55s are going to be slightly tougher. If you're afraid of the 33s being tough, 55s are not the answer.

Like curtains said, prove you can beat them first, because if you can't you'll need a "raptor-esque" luckbox to beat the 55s. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not saying it's necessarily all great players at the 30s, but the fact that you only have 800 chips and the players are harder than 20s SUCKS. If you are beating the 20s for 20% ROI you should be a solid, tight aggressive player and you can do better with more chips...

And from what I've seen so far the 50s is CHOCKful of donks...if you're worried about less donks, stop worrying.

TY, point is 50s is still a kiddie pool with slightly more sharks but this is more than compensated by chip stack size. That's why move to 50s is money when you have the bankroll and are ready to move up.

I have no interest in going straight to the 55s, I definitely want to be able beat the 33s solidly before moving on up. I'm not a good postflop player though, will that be a big hindrance for me when I make the jump to the 55s (more starting chips, probably less donks busting out early)?

If you build your bankroll up to be ready for the 50s at the 20s...say to like 4k you should have enough experience by then to beat the 55s.

As for post-flop play, try six-max or go to another site with larger chip stacks...

I still think its a foolish idea most of the time. You should prove yourself by beating every level first before moving up. If you cant beat the 33s you wont be able to beat the 55s, this is basically a guarantee. Why skip a level (a level where you will develop your game quite a deal) for no reason?

I don't undersatnd how you can think the 33's are any different than the 22's. They have to be 50% harder to make it a better idea to play the 22's. This makes no sense. I personally have seen no difference between the two levels in the games I've playes except that I win more money at the 33's.

33s are somewhat more difficult. I think its always best to start low, dominate the level and then move up one level, at least if you are looking to maximize your potential. When I say dominate I dont mean that you have to play 1000 of them at that level, but I just dont like the idea of skipping levels. But okay I'm extremely conservative so whatever.

Having just moved up to the 33s myself, I can tell you that the play is still terrible in general, and they are not much harder than the 22s. There seems to be one or two more competant players at each table, but still plenty of donks spewing chips all over the place. Bubble play is slightly better, but anyone who knows what they are doing will destroy these games.

If you have the roll, definately move up. I'm kicking myself for not having moved up sooner. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

So, should I move up? I have the roll and nuke the 22s with a ROI of 35%.

Unfortunately, it's over 120 Sngs only. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I'll put in the 500 before I move up. I'll be tempted to go straight to the 55s though.
