This was a 22. I had been aggresssive lately but they were tight.

UTG (t2155)
Hero (t1125)
Button (t1470)
SB (t2655)
BB (t595)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 6/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/heart.gif.

Folded to hero, hero pushes

Borderline, IMO. I wouldn't do it if I had pushed a lot lately.

Id lean towards a fold....pretty sure it's correct here.

Okay...trying to learn from this. Had OP been on the button, would this push have been better?

Probably clear push on the button yes.

Just ran this hand through SnGPT. I'm not saying it's right and you're wrong in the real world...but here are the calling ranges I gave everyone.

For BB, I assume with his dwindling chips he'll call with 22+, A2+ (suited or not), K2s+, K5o+, Q8s+, QTo+.
For SB and Button, I assume they'll be a bit tighter with an all-in call from CO, simply because they have more to lose...so I assigned them a calling range of 66+, ATs+, AJo+, KJs+, KTo+.

What it spit out was that pushing was 16.2% while folding was 15.9. Now, I know that if you're within 0.5% that it's marginal, and you tend towards the safer play, that being a fold. Does this sound about right?

You might be right...hard to say what the ranges will be.

Would your advice then hinge on...if it's super close like this (and very contingent on specific calling ranges), maybe you should fold and look for a more clear time to push?
