Scary flop but I bet for information, was thinking of checking the turn which might've paid off but...

This is the one I think I totally misplayed... I didn't raise enough preflop but I wanted to keep a hand like Ax or two face cards in and act after the flop... Didn't expect both of those guys to play the flop that way, and they didn't play it well, I just got sucked out...

Anyways, how do you guys think I played these hands?

Hand 1: I check the turn and hope he hits a straight or a flush (not both /images/graemlins/tongue.gif). Of course, if he had a draw to a straight flush he'd probably have gotten his chips in anyway, so just check and hope the free card makes him a hand with which he'll pay you off.

Hand 2: Unless I'm missing something, this is just a bad beat. Get better at fading people's outs.

Hand 1) Push the damn flop. You really don't want a nine or king to show up, let alone another spade. You have top set. t600 in the pot, t1000 behind. Push. You're going to get action here. Making multiple bets just shows more strength.

But I'd bet 3x BB preflop which would make betting less on the flop better.

Hand 1--I don't think it's necessary to raise 5BB preflop. Nice flop. Why bet 300? This is a perfect time to slowplay. What are you worried about? Straight flushes? 4 J's? Slow it down on the flop. Give your opponent the chance to bluff the turn, or hit an A.

Hand 2--What do you mean, you didn't raise enough preflop? That was just fine. On the flop, you got all your money in with the best hand. This is the 10000000 my AA got cracked that's been posted. This happens to me 5 times a week. Move on.

He is talking about the flop. I agree of course they could have always flopped the nut straight already with AK but you cna't worry about that.

Yeah... I bet the flop to get a K or 9 off the hand, I think two spades will call almost every time but...

I wish I would've checked the turn but...

Second hand, I guess I just don't like it... It sucked though that both hands beat me... /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
