ok ok i raised because i read in one of those nifty books that if you think that an overcall could beat you and you think the bettor is bluffing you should raise. eh? uh....yeah.

yeah, i guess save that play when you think an EP bettor is bluffing and you have a few players behind you. not the other way around.

the pot is 2 BBs. after he bets it has 3 BBs in it. So you're risking 2 BBs to win 3. If he has a worse hand he's folding, if he calls you are definietly beat. So are you willing to lay those kind of odds that he'll belive you have him beat? How about when you've checked every street? How about in a spot where there's no chance you checked with the intent of checkraising (i mean, no one has bet yet, why would they)?
