at this level any type of raise is just going to act as a sweetner and any overcard flop is going to look grim so what's your line against this many limpers?

I just check here, 100% of the time. If you hit your set, you're doubling or tripling, no doubt about it.

clear cut limp. jacks work best in small pots. you raising will commit you to this hand to the river with your stack.

I hate raising here out of position. I would pass up medium situations like this early and really on late game pushing skills.

JJ isn't strong enough and at this level you are getting called by all sorts of trash. 50% chance of overcards flopping and you are going to be out of position with no idea where your hand is and how people are going to act. I check here, and bet at a undercard flop or play for set value.

Check, flop a set, get all the money in, win at showdown.

Yeah, but as Raptor said, if you MOH it you'll get called by 77 every time.

you are betting 1470 into a pot of 150 with a measly pair of jacks. yes it may be +EV, but if you see a flop, your edge will potentially be much better.

Oh I know, I said to check as well. Guess what I'm sayin is that a standard raise doesn't make much sense to me...if hero really wants to raise here, it should be a push.

Why would you want to see a flop hoping to flop a set when 77 will call you right now?

Push, no ifs ands or buts

i think a push is the right move - i am probably strongest right now, i can push out the QJ limpers, etc. maybe get called by smaller pairs and/or race against a donk calling with KQ.

i limped, flop came 2 toned Qc8c4h

now out of position i am check/folding here, no?
