What the hell is this min-reraise for?

This is mostly for my own well-being. Thank you.

I suppose I'd push first in, but I don't think I can lay QQ here.

I sincerely hope you're joking. Insta-push.

what did you get called by AA and thus the reason for the post?

clearly.

But actually, him being a reasonable player (nothing out of the ordinary all game), what else would this mean?

I'm starting to wonder if this move doesn't make AA or KK at least 70% likely.

pay attention to the meta game man! if you fold here your going to have all kinds of donkeys min. raising you.

Honestly, if I am getting involved in a pot in this situation I just push so I never have to make this decision. That sounds incredibly stupid but I am pushing with every other hand (AK, TT, etc.) so I am pushing with QQ-AA here as well.

I would just push over the top, but I am bad at poker.

Yeah Im just dying to get my shot at minraising JMan with 63o, knowing he will then fold 95% of hands.

You wanted action with your QQ (You basically minraised), you got it. Why are you trying to fold now?

That's silly logic and you know it.

Given that this is a Step 5 and you are ITM 4 handed I would move in. But I agree with Jman... what could he possibly have except for AA or KK? AK and JJ seem highly unlikely. He may be thinking on such a high level that he knows his min-reraise represents AA or KK. Tougher situation than everyone think IMO.

1. I would move allin

2. If you really think hes so good why the hell is he min raising like a donkey. Basically I believe his play is idiotic if he has AA-KK (or at least very transparent, to the extent where he has you considering folding QQ), so anyone who makes this play, I beleive they are capable of having AA-KK but also some random BS.

SnGs are different than other forms of poker. There are situations where you WANT to give your opponent the pot odds to call before the flop because it is almost certain that you will have at least a 4-1 edge. The shallow stacks dictate this... there is less time to find situation as +EV as this. I dont think min raising is a donkey move in SnG (surely is in cash games or deep stack MTTS). It is simply logical.

It's donkey move because it's so transparent is what I mean.

If it's so transparent then why aren't we folding? Thinking about what the miniraise means is moot. Don't fold QQ preflop.
