Stayed at Turning Stone last night. When I called up to make my reservation, I asked for the lowest possible rate (they had been listing $190), and found a Bed & Breakfast rate of $120 including breakfast for two.
While playing a nice dealer (appreciative for a tip he didn't expect on a very small pot) asked me if I had the Poker rate, Which I didn't know existed.
I checked at the desk, and although they couldn't do anything for me (They could do something if I was a normal checkin, but I'd already checked in on a package).
Anyway, for future reference, the Poker Rate was about $80 on weekends. Some regulars said that they want several hours of play, but that if you're playing the Desk doesn't push the point if you're a little short.
Sorry that I'm a bit short on specifics here -- mainly posting this because this rate is available, but they won't tell you about it at reservations, even if you ask if there's something for gamblers.
(BTW, when I complained at the desk, the Desk Manager tried to be sympathethic -- he scrunched his face like Gus Hansen analyzing a hand, but couldn't do anything. In general, I find this hotel to have very rigid policies, and though the staff tries, they don't seem to have a lot of authority to make things right -- Still, it's probably the best place to stay in that area even if you're not gambling. With the packages and rates, it's an overall good deal.)
