Hey guys. This is a students hand. It's a 20+2. I've never seen a situation quite like this, and I'm not exactly sure what I'd do. I think my judgement might be off because I saw the opponents hands before deciding.

Thoughts?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (5 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Hero (t920)
UTG (t370)
MP (t2490)
Button (t1510)
SB (t2710)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A/images/graemlins/club.gif, T/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
UTG raises to t370 (All-In), MP calls t370, 1 fold, SB calls t320, Hero?

I fold here 110% of the time.

While it is impossible to give more than 100%, i don't ever see myself calling here.

If you think the hand is likely to get checked down, I would consider calling.

This is what I was thinking myself.

Those two calls just seem so weak to me.

The problem with calling is that if you call and lose you are a serious disadvantage with respect to the Button as far as stack size.

Stack fold = 820.
Stack call & lose = 550.
Stack call & win = 2030.

So basically you're risking crippling yourself to be tied for first in a for way pot. In other words, by calling and losing you are two double ups out of the race instead of 1.

I'm expecting one of my 3 opponents to have a pair and I'm also expecting at least one of my ace outs to be dead. I think this is a fold.

That's fine if you had a larger stack. But if you call, miss, and get bet out of the pot, your stack has really take a significant hit. I'd be much more apt to call if I had 1300+.

I don't think I would ever call, I would only maybe consider pushing to give great odds against the small stack if I thought I could get the other 2 to fold. But I dont think my stack is big enough to push them out so I fold.

I hate MP's call, I hate SB's call, I fold, but I'm very tempted to move in over the top and force MP and SB to drop their hands.

This is exactly how I feel. Don't know why I couldn't put it into words. Thanks

Twoplustwoer: if you were to push, you do it now or postflop?
TEPop84: i probably wouldnt push unless I hit my hand, they will probably check it down, and there is a person all in, who might have him beat
TEPop84: i would probably just call and hope they check it down unless I hit my hand, and then bet
TEPop84: i don't think there is any folding equity pf
TEPop84: it wouldn't severly cripple you if you called and had to fold to a flop bet either
TEPop84: it would suck, but you would still have 5.5bb on the bubble
Twoplustwoer: right
Twoplustwoer: pretty unusual situation though regardless
Twoplustwoer: so what kind of ranges are we shoving here?
TEPop84: well I would probably shove AQ and 99+
Twoplustwoer: AJs?
TEPop84: that would probably just be a call
TEPop84: I don't think you should fold with AT with a person all in and getting great odds when it won't cripple you
Twoplustwoer: what about A9
Twoplustwoer: or A8
TEPop84: closing the action too
TEPop84: i would probably fold those
Twoplustwoer: the fact that it's exactly ATo is really f-ing annoying
TEPop84: i would probably have a pretty wide calling range here
TEPop84: suited connectors and pairs
TEPop84: probably some connectors too

I would suppose the SB has a semi-reasonable hand and very likely a weaker ace. I don't know how the whole situation with you being on the bubble could make this stupid, but you are getting good odds and I don't think you are behind the SB so I push.

I really really want to call, but I think the raise is just enough of my stack to fold and be pissed about it.
