Anything I should have done differently here? Shouldn't the flop raise and $20 turn bet pushed in off this?

in the future use the converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Other than what looks like a flop miniraise from you, /images/graemlins/frown.gif /images/graemlins/mad.gif /images/graemlins/confused.gif /images/graemlins/crazy.gif , looks OK. Turn is pot sized, if he is calling that on draws, should be a profitable session for you. If you're going to checkraise the flop, checkraise stronger than this, pot sized or more.

Bad luck for you. Villain is an idiot 2x. First for calling a $20 bet on the turn to win $43 on a ~4:1 shot. Second for not raising on the river when he hits his improbable card. WTF is he calling for?

Overall, it's a sad hand for you but could (should) have been much sadder since your opponent hit his card and charged you nothing.

now that i've looked at the hand- NEVER MIN RAISE....its evil, horrible and just downright bad.

other then that-i like the thought of the flop raise (just make it bigger) and yes he should've folded to the turn lead.....

ps. Welcome!!

You're talking about the flop raise from $4 to $8 right? What would you suggest $12 or $16.

I tried. I am stupid. I copied the hand history, pasted it into the converter and it gave me a URL as output. Was I supposed to cut and paste the URL into I-explorer or something? Note : I did a search and could not find explaination of use.

He started hand with $40.33. He had $39 in the pot.

Pot appears to be $11 at the point where you are going to checkraise. So I would checkraise to $15 at the minimum instead of $8.

Note that while using the converter is best, but this is a pretty damn solid self-made post.

In the future, try giving help with the hand as well as help with posting it.

Make a real raise on the flop. Good turn bet. Put him all-in on the river.

Wow, now that I have thought about it a bit, I really appreciate your input. I loathe a pre-folp min-raise, but didn't really think about the fact that I am doing the same thing on the flop raise. I guess I was thinking about the bet and raise as a function of a multiplicative of the big blind, ie he bet 4 x bb and I raised 8 x bb. I am proud to say that I have taken something away from my first hand posted.
Thanks.
