So everyone at work the last few days has been telling me "this new intern "Jed" just won $5,000 playing poker at the casino in Detroit." So today I get the chance to meet Jed and hear about how he won the winner's share of the bad beat jackpot. I congratulate him and ask him to tell me the story of the hand...
1/2 NL Greektown
Hero limps $2 in MP with T5. Six to the flop.
Flop: 22T.
Hero bets, one call.
Turn: T. Hero bets, call is all-in I believe.
River: T. Quad tens over quad deuces.
Villain collects $10,400, hero gets $5,200, table shares $5,200.
As you might imagine, not exactly the story I was expecting to hear...
