ok, so i knew the villian limper had big/mid range cards q9+ K9+ A8-Aj. with my stack i knew he would call an allin from me preflop. so i decided to complete and push any three rags. i have a mega tight image up until now due to a lack of cards/push opportunities. is this a profitable play or a donk move based too highly on a supposed "read."

Before giving any advice, none of the players at the $11s care about your image or care that you havent played many hands. This is irrelevant.

people at the $11 level do notice all the things the you stated in your original post--just not as much as a $215 player. plus, i play at that level, so that's like you saying I don't care about what goes on at my table. had you said quite a few $11 players, cool beans, but your statement basically said EVERYBODY!

ok, assume this is a 215 where people do notice table image. is this a good move or am i throwing away chips??

curtains, how would you play this hand??

i just felt it was much too strong of a hand to fold but pushing preflop left me, what seemed to me a least, very little FE compared to pushing any flop.

The play is interesting, it just has nothing to do with your image, thats just a basically irrelevant side note.

Anyway I agree that moving allin preflop gives you very little folding equity, however by checking and moving allin on any flop you are allowing the BB a free ride, however gaining folding equity from the other player.

It's a tough situation.. I'd probably just move allin preflop because I try to avoid being too fancy in spots like this, however there is definitely merit to your way of playing.

i like it b/c the flop looks like something a blind would hit.
