Hero in BB, SB raises 2xBB HU, Hero pushes 44.

Are 4's too weak to push after a raise from SB HU? Im most likely ahead...but most likely facing 2 overs.

Thx

Standard, depending on BB you have behind.

Yeah you have to push here unless the blinds are like 50/100 and you both are sitting on 4k.

I might not push here depending on the way your opponent had been playing. If he has been making small raises, like 2x the bb, then I would reraise all in. However, if this isnt standard, he may be feignin weakness so that you will push. If you think he might be up to something just call because if he is on AA/KK and you hit a set you have the perfect way to break him, plus it doesnt cost you very much.

P.S. need more info on game such as buy in

You could get tricksy with a stop-and-go but unless the stacks are deep, I expect all your chips to get in the middle soon.

We'd been HU for a while, blinds at 150/300. stacks at 3500 (hero) and 4500 (villian). 2xBB had been the 'standard' HU raise of the session.

easy push. You have folding equity, and the times he does call you're usually a coinflip.

A classic case of a stop n go here (assuming no ace or king falls). If the guy has a pocket pair he's gonna call your preflop push anyway. If the guy has 2 high cards and misses, he'd be hard pushed to call. If you flop a 4...well Merry Xmas! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Almost identical to a live freezeout tourney hand I played this week.

We are HU and I have a slight chip lead. Villain pops it to 3x BB from the SB.

I look down, see 44 and shove, as villain had turned into a weak-tight Nancy trying to money.

He thinks for like 10 seconds and says, "OK, I call."

He tables.... 56c! WTF?!?!?

It's a race, but the board is safe, MHIG, and I pocket $250.

He claims he was "tired" and just "wanted it to end."

Whatever dude. Ship it!
