Hey All,

Is this too weak? I have no reads or stats, I'm using a non-PT computer and haven't been paying too much attention. I know that the limp PF was questionable/bad, I'm looking for thoughts post-flop. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Looks like 2nd pair to me, maybe a J. I would raise to $2.5 on the flop, call the turn(if he led, or check the turn), and check/call the river.

I would definitely call the river in this situation though.. .75 in a $6 pot is an easy call. Extremely weak fold IMO.

does anyone here raise the turn if bet into?

Thanks, orange.

On the turn I was thinking of calling on the river but as soon as the J fell I thought, crap, he just hit trips. You're right, though, those are crazy odds....

What about the guy behind me, what do you think he was playing with - a draw also?

Really, raise it that much on the flop? So, then, what do you do when no river turns? I'm not being facetious, I'm really not sure....

Thanks, BT

Christ, read the first post too fast, and didn't realize it was a J on the river. Nonetheless, I still call here, mainly because of the weak bet and the size of the pot.

raising the flop is debatable. It helps control the pot a bit better, and your raising to potentially get a free card on the turn.

it looks like the other guy has a 7,9, or has missed his draw. If he had a J he would have been betting more aggresively because of the 2 hearts on the flop. He might have been on a straight draw or a lower flush draw, which would have worked out well for you. Either way you should have either raised the turn and value the river or called the turn and raised on the river.

Hey Sr. M,

Yeah, raising the turn some probably would have been a good idea to find out where I was, plus represent the made pair of aces.

On the river, though, if I raise (maybe $2-3) wouldn't the only person to call me have a J? Or am I giving the UB NL25 folks too much credit?

Raise the flop and bet the turn. The way the hand played out call that river every time, it's 9:1 I'd call with A high. JMO

this is an easy call at this limit, though i think he has a J, the pot is offering odds that at this level would be extremely positive EV.
