MP2 is 12.3/6.9/1.1 after 130 hands. UTG is also very tight, but more aggressive. I called pf getting 7-1, barring a limp 3-bet from UTG. maybe I should fold two gap suiteds? Anyway, I called the flop bet because of the size of the pot and I had top pair (oh my!). Turn gets interesting. What do I do with my two pair? What do you put these tight players on?

Well given MP2s tightness I would put him on a big pair. Tough position here. If you call and UTG raises youre propably beaten. But he could also have TT, 99 or something. Your hand is good most of the times I think. I would call it down.

MP2 raise preflop, and he has a 6.9% PFR. He doesn't have a set, and he doesn't have a straight. I suspect he's getting tricky with AA, or paranoid about an overcard falling with JJ. UTG could conceivably have a set, but he might have a smaller overpair than MP2. Since he's tight, it's very unlikely he has a straight. I think I make this turn 3 bets.

easy 3-bet. that's why we called the flop. if you thought UTG had a set, you should have folded then.

MP2 is probably being a tricky doofus, "ooh look i watch WSOP last night" with a big pocket pair. UTG worries me a tad but he could do this with A5s or a midpocket pair, hoping MP2 would blow out the field with a raise.

i think calling is too passive and makes the river more difficult to play, so between calling and raising, i think raising is the best play.

I assume you were trying to check-raise MP2 on the flop but UTG foiled your plans?

The turn looks like a clear 3-bet to me. UTG could easily have a worse two pair, top pair, or even just a straight draw, and MP2 probably have a pocket pair QQ-99 and decided to call the flop and raise any non-overcard blank. I think you're easily betting for value here.

Actually the other way around but yeah. I immediately thought Mr. eagle MP1 was on a big overpair, so I 3-bet that. I didn't want UTG in the hand anymore and was pretty sure I had MP1 beat. UTG folds, MP1 calls. K /images/graemlins/spade.gif comes on river. i bet out.......

3-bet or fold. MP2 may be waiting until the turn to raise an overpair. Otherwise, if you have especially good reads to suggest that you're beaten, fold.

MP2 *should* have raised this flop with a high pocket pair. AA-88, AKh, AQh, KQh.

UTG A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, 76s, 22-88.

3-bet the turn.
