that The Flaming Lips are highly overrated and overhyped, or at least they were in 2002? This song sucks huge sweaty donkey balls. As much as they were all the rage and hailed as the greatest thing since the Beatles and all that, I'm quite a non-fan. Anyone else with me on this one?

Never heard of 'em, so yeah.

If I knew what you were talking about, I would probably agree with you.

I enjoy listening to them in the same way I enjoy listening to Sonic Youth and the Polyphonic Spree. They are not great, but listenable. I do not have anything against the Flaming Lips. I happen to really like Yoshimi. It was over-hyped though. Just like some of the indie bands are today.

Haven't heard too much of their stuff - just The Soft Bulletin and Zaireeka - but wait, I saw them on 90210, too!

Yeah, I'm pretty indifferent to them.

I find them pretty hit or miss. Some of their material is great and some makes me want to rip off my ears. Or choke myself until I pass out.

I liked your old post "Arcade Fire Blows Huge AssBalls." or something like that.

I bought that Yoshimi cd of theirs. I think I've listened to the title track maybe four times and the rest once.

So yeah I'm with ya.

Yeah, thanks. I put a lot of effort into that one, so it's nice to see someone appreciates it.

Their early stuff is much better than the new. You should listen to their first album. Also this band is great to see live.
As for Arcade fire, I had a chance to see them live as well and I thought they sound pretty good.

I find some of their stuff really awesome and some of it kindof dull. I guess it comes out average, overall.

Overhyped definitely. Mediocre at best.

The Soft Bulletin is one of the best albums of the past 15 years.

Yes, I agree.

Bruce Dickinson wouldn't be their producer.
