well online you know if you take a long time to click the damn button - it can start to annoy some people...

anyone ever try - just for fun - in a B&M game to take like 10 seconds everytime you fold.. just count in your head 1,2,3,4,5....... while looking at your cards... then throwing them in ... just to piss those degenerate gamblers off. make them play even worse - cuz you have all the patience in the world?

i'm an angle-shooter, ill take any advantage i can get, i'll shoot any angle i can to get me the pot, to make the players worse, to annoy the hell outta people, if just only for fun...

anyone try this delay fold, delay bet, delay call (In LIMIT POKER specifically *which is meant to be quick*) i think it would annoy the players & the dealers! /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'd like to hear some experiences with it, i mean hell why not - your at the poker table waiting for a hand - once you get one - this may instigate an angry re-raise on your pocket aces... /images/graemlins/spade.gif

i would like to hear any other ideas as well

That would piss me off, and I don't think I'm a degenerate gambler.

I'm sitting at a table paying $10/hour to play poker, and you're counting to five in your head because you think it's funny to piss off people that you don't know?

*shrug* not my thing, I guess.

This always works...at a tense point in the hand, stand up on your chair and start throwing feces like an orangutan.

You'll probably get a better response than by chewing up the clock.

You wanna piss people off, try the following: Crowding the people next to you, intentionally trying to peek at their cards when they look at them, try keeping your cards when you do not show them, betting out of turn, betting one less chip every time, string-betting, oh yea, and wear sunglasses at the table...

well i mean something that isn't obviously intentional.. which 'taking your time' with your cards fits exactly...

Keeping the table happy, lighthearted and fun is much more beneficial IMO.

You should try taking an extra long time inbetween breaths.

if you have an edge, playing more hands per hour increases it. Slowing down the table hurts your edge. Also, making fish angry, bored, or otherwise uncomfortable can make them swim away. Please stop [censored] with my profits.

I agree. Pissing off the table is a bad idea. Soon you'll have nine people gunning for you.

Remember Mike Caro on the WPT "By the Book" tourney? He said that he keeps the game fun, and then people don't mind when they lose to him. Good advice, you never know who you are angering and what they are capable of doing.

If your a good player, then more hands per hour results in more money from you. The best players are the ones that are passive. The toughest are the maniac aggressives. When you tick people off they will have one of three responses:

1. Leave and go to a table that is more fun (bad).
2. Start gunning for you (bad, forget bluffing and semi bluffing). Tricky opponents will cause big fluctuations in your bankroll. I'll take passive and predictable opponents over tricky opponents any day!
3. Stay and endure your anticts.

The tactic of putting your opponents on tilt and theoretically winning all their money is WAYYYYYYY over-rated.

What amazes me is that you seem proud of being an angle-shooter. To me, it's the sign of a weak player who can't win legitimately and has to use 'tricks' like checking out of turn, etc. But this kind of stuff only works at the tiny stakes against tourists. And maybe it'll make you an extra $10 a day, but make you look like a pathetic scumbag. If you really want to make money at poker, learn to play better. Then you can see how silly all this angle shooting is. And you may be able to advance to higher stakes where real money can be made.

PS you do this at my table and I'll knock your teeth down your throat so far you'll have to drop your pants to chew your food.

Don't know why I'm feeding the troll, but...

The fact that you think it's "fun" to piss off others shows how immature you are. The fact that you think it's profitable to slow the game down shows how stupid you are. The fact that you proudly claim to be an angle-shooter shows what a dick you are.

just wanted to say thanks for all the responses &

btw i am not an angleshooter, i do tip and i take less than a second to look at my cards and act.....................

i've been posting the thoughts of my alter-ego who remains undercontrol and hidden to all poker tables... /images/graemlins/grin.gif
p.s. there are however so many poker players out there that piss me the hell off, but it seems like the only thing i do and will continue to do back to them - is take their money

Here's an idea for you: learn to play better and you won't want to waste time with that crap.

I remember playing with Stu Unger in the late 70's -- he was a great card player, I was a counter/player --

Those who were there will remember that Stu did everything possible to piss off the table. As an outsider, it was hilarious -- as an insider, I might have seen it differently -- but then, who am I to comment -- just happy to have been there.
