goofball

Without googling or using help, open a word file, start a numeric list than start typing all the U.S. presidents you can name. Post your result. (obviosuly if you post actual presidents names you'll influence others results).

I get 56. Do I win?

22

Edit: Thought of a couple more obvious ones, 24. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I could only get 29...sad.

27, but I gave myself about a five minute time limit. I suck.

CORed

42, counting the president with two non-consecutive terms twice. I missed only number 13. I got the order correct, too.

What do I win?

I'm embarrassed with myself. I got 34. I figured I'd get 40 with no trouble and eventually get all 43.

Soul Daddy

35, but I read CORed's post before I did it, so somewhere between 31-35.

i got 30. Apparently I really suck at the post reconstruciton era since I missed 3 in a row there.

Yeah, that was my downfall too.

All 3 of the Presidents I missed were born in Ohio. Coincidence or lame state?

fluxrad

All of 'em. You just have to use a mnemonic device:

Washington
And
Jefferson
Made
Many
A
Joke...
etc.

I made the rest when I was 17, so suffice it to say about half the rest of the paragraph would appear as [censored].

Obviously if people are going to read the results in this thread before creating their own list, they'd most likely cheat anyway.

or not since i explicit warned people not to do that.

anyway, you basically have no credibility since you somehow managed to simultaneously remember Coolidge and forget Lincoln.

I actually thought I wrote Lincoln since I was trying to remember Presidents who have been assassinated.

edited - I've got 36 of the 42. I struggle from 18-23 and the late twenties.

I got 42... but I listed Cleveland twice.

I wonder who I missed?

Bet you missed Pierce, or either Taylor or Tyler.

How could I forget James Garfield?

JoshuaD

I can list them all. I had some book when I was in 4th grade that had a story that would help you remember all their names.

It helped me pass american history in school.

Given enough time, I'm sure I would've gotten them all. I got 40/42 (counting each person once). The ones I missed were fairly easy. The last one that I DID get was embarrassingly obvious.

Good guesses. I missed five, but Pierce and Taylor were on that short list (along with Arthur, Hayes, and how on earth did I miss Wilson?).
