So I was imming a few hands with daliman and he tells me about how great this show is. I sit down and fire it up on HBO on demand, and watch the beach party episode. I must officially say that the scene in which E's old lady admits that she cheated on him while he was New York was by far the coolest thing I have ever seen on television. For those of you who haven't seen it, it is a show about two actors and their managers (kinda like a sex and the city with guys). In this perticular episode Eric (E) has been planning a special night with his girlfriend as he has not been with her in three months, and the night that they got back she claimed to be on her period. So on the special night, she calls him and claims food poisoning on him while he is at the Lakers game with his boys. They all end up going to a beach party at Jaime Lee Presly's house where he meets a perfect ten model. He ends up taking this model back to the hotel that he had reserved for him and his girl and nails her at night and in the morning. The last scene in the show is when he and his girlfriend start fooling around at her apartment later in the afternoon, she gets guilty and admits that she had been hanging out with some dude that she met in class and was with him the night before. He ends up getting all pissed off and walks out of her appartment, and then comes back and tells her that he had met and f*cked a perfect ten model the previous night and that morning. By far one of the coolest scenes I have ever seen.

Man I love this show too, but I have to say that first season so far has been better than season 2.

The best episode is still the one with Mark Walberg as their weed guy.

i caught one episode, the one where mandy moore and the guy go to dinner. i thought it was good for filler television, but i don't know how it got emmy nominations and i think it would crash and burn if they made the show an hour. since it's a half hour maybe i'll get interested.

The only part that I didn't like was the fact that they had DJ Quik performing actual DJ duties. He should have been MCing. At the very minimum, having him performing in the background or something would have been sweet. Man, I love DJ Quik.

They're clearly realized that Ari is the best thing about the show. Next year, I hope they find a reason to keep Vince totally off screen, only to be spoken about but never seen (unless it's under the pretense of us getting to see hot chicks naked). The show should be about Ari, Drama, Turtle, Eric, random hot chicks and Vince, in that order.

Uhm... Yeah. I just watched the last two weeks on OnDemand and this week's episode has replaced the Val Kilmer as drug-dealing sherpa episode as my favorite of the series. How many episodes are left this season?

Duffman

I think next week is the season finale.

EDIT: Spoiler if you haven't seen this week's yet.

This week's ep was awesome. I'm wondering how they're gonna end the season. I'm guessing everything gets resolved with Vince and Aquaman and Ari starts up his company. And next season starts off after Aquaman. Kind of like season 1 ended with Queens Blvd and began with what happened after.

Yeti

Ridiculously f'ing good ep. True brilliance.

I agree they have realised Ari is gold. I don't care much for Turtle but Ari/Drama/chicks is a winner.

So I got caught up on the last two weeks that I missed, and the wife and I came up with an interesting question:

Would you rather have the 60's Continental, seen in the opening credits, or E's Maserati??

Personally I would rather have the cherry Continental, convertible, max space, suicide doors, etc.

She wanted the Maserati...

Mandy Moore brought the show down IMO.
Him being so whipped is kind of lame.

Question: Is there any mention to Ari's reaction to the 7 hour drive?

The finale was the worst episode of the season by far, but they needed to wrap up a bunch of crap in relatively little time.

Drama stealing his agent's TV was the highlight.
