My desktop has the task bar vertically like this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v326/reef/asdlfkjsadfasdf.bmp) . It is pissing me off, I want it horizontal on the bottom. How do I do that?

If I had 4k posts i'd be berating you for not searching because someone asked this less then a month ago./images/graemlins/grin.gif In all seriousness just click on the big unused blue section and drag it back down to the bottom. If it won't drag right click on it and make sure it is not "locked".

Right click on the taskbar and make sure that "Lock the Taskbar" is unlocked. Then, left click on the taskbar, hold it down, and drag your mouse to the bottom.

That's strange. With a little googling i found the registry entry that controls the taskbar. It's under [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\
Advanced] 0=locked 1= unlocked. If this is giberish i can walk you through it if need be.

Taskbarsizemove is set to 1 which means it's unlocked and movebale. My registry has TaskbarGlomming set to 1 which has something to do with the quick launch i belive. I'd go ahead and try setting that to 1 and restarting and see if it again becomes moveable. If that doesn't work out for you i'm out of ideas.

If you dont have the 'Quick Launch" toolbar active, right click on your taskbar, go to toolbars and activate it.

Click on the white&blue icon "Show Desktop" This should minimize all your open windows.

Now you should be able to move your taskbar.

I had this same issue a few weeks ago, and this is what I had to do to fix it.
