Yes and no. My Country, 'Tis of Thee uses the melody to the UK (and others) national anthem God Save the Queen.

The Marine's Halls of Montezuma is a borrowed melody too, I think.

'The Star Spangled Banner' music is from an old German drinking song.

If i remeber high school history correctly, this was done intentionally so as to mock the UK who was our enemy at the time.

Either way, FOX has the worse announcers on the planet.

Tim McCarver is an idiot. (no examples needed)

All they need is Jim Grey and they will have completed the circle of stupidity.

Is it just me, or are the lyrics to "My country 'tis of thee" gramatically incorrect? It shoud be

My country 'tis of thee,
sweet land of liberty,
I sing. . . .

or

My country,
sweet land of liberty,
'tis of thee I sing. . . .

Why does it say "of thee" twice?

'Hit Me Baby One More Time' borrows heavily from the Belarussian national anthem.
