I'm done cloaking my name, here are the hands I busted out with today, let me know what you think, these are pretty good examples of how I've been busting recently.

This may at first smell like a bad beat post, but believe me, its not. These are the situations in which I've been busting out, and I think I'm pushing in the wrong spot, with the wrong hands, or towards the wrong opponents.

Hand 1: Bad beat police needed
Hand 2: Bad beat police needed
Hand 3: Push to his raise preflop.
Hand 4: Bad beat police needed
Hand 5: Sux to be you!

Thanks for the excellent thread. This is what is called "variance", and why you see excellent players go on downswings.

1, 4 and 5 are standard, 3 push preflop, 2 is a little trickier, he ain't folding here for sure, and shorty is about to have his stack smashed down by half and then half again through the blinds..

Well, paint me blue and call me jesus. (As long as its a valid bad beat, I'm not going to feel bad about it at all)

That makes me feel pretty good.

Are you guys absolutely positive about pushing QQ pre-flop at lvl 1?

You don't have to *push* necessarily but I'm betting half my stack at least and never folding on the flop.

Villain's mini re-raise looks suspicious, but I'm not folding to a safe flop (undercards) flop anyway, so if he has aces, you're broke either way. In that spot, with your stack, I'm re-raising all-in without a 2nd thought.

SnGPT says definite push, in fact, EV drops as they tighten up, and rises as they loosen, so its a beyond-must push.

Considering stack sizes and upcoming blinds too, of course.
Actually, here, I think I'm begging for a call, rather than a fold?

It's an obvious push. And another bad beat.

That's good to know, I'm sorry for posting these bad beats, but I really need reassurance on them.

Thanks.

Hand number 7

Had 20 left after posting BB after this hand, so I count this one as my busting hand.

Seat 3: LAKINGS07 ( $960 )

Blinds(150/300)
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to unccnu [ Qh Ks ]
unccnu is all-In [1280]
xxcheckraise folds.
lesnar5767 folds.
LAKINGS07 is all-In [660]
** Dealing Flop ** [ 4c, 9h, 7c ]
** Dealing Turn ** [ 5h ]
** Dealing River ** [ Kc ]

unccnu shows [ Qh, Ks ] a pair of kings.
LAKINGS07 shows [ 9c, Kd ] two pairs, kings and nines.
unccnu wins 320 chips from side pot #1 with a pair of kings.
LAKINGS07 wins 2070 chips from the main pot with two pairs, kings and nines.

Should I just not push this? I'll be left with 800 after posting SB/BB. Should I leave it to luck, and pray they'll fold to me when I'm BB/SB? Doesn't sound like a logical strategy.

You really should change the subject of your post to "bubble busting bad beats".

Stop. Please.

Seriously?
So I'm playing excellent, and have just run into bad cards.

Fair enough, I'll stop posting.

I should start posting some of my beats, they are far more pwn worthy.

You don't have to stop posting, just stop posting hands where you got the chips in as a 65% or more favorite.

Try this. Go to http://www.twodimes.net/poker

Plug the hand as it was when the chips went in. If you are a 65% favorite or more, don't post the hand.
