FWIW i was origionally referring to the marble as *naked* because it was uncovered stone.

FWIW, if I had a problem with kipins avatar (which I don't) it would be because of the camera angle. His avatar is an intentionally crude crotch shot of a tastefully done masterpiece. Kipin's avatar loses a lot of it's meaning as artwork at that point IMO.

It is just basic Internet courtesy not to post pics that could cause people grief. I don't think it is too much to ask.

I'm not sure about the Mat comment, especially with some of the crap I've deleted. Turning the avatars off option is a poor solution IMO. Adblock on firefox is a good one.

Also avatars is how I identify people. Why should people like me get punished for others childish behavior?

Why? If one doesn't want to view them, one just doesn't allow them to be viewed.

I don't mind taking down X-rated ones, but frequently PG-13 ones are taken down. In those instances it's absurd to force people to take down the avatars.

If you are easily offended, it's on you to select the option to not view, it's not on the rest of the community to try and not offend you.
