I think you have to call this simply because he will be pushing many Ax with x less than 9 here. And probably worse.

Before people vote, you need to stop looking at the pretty holecards and put the person on a range to see if it's even smart to call here. Amazingly though, you're looking at a pretty borderline hand. /images/graemlins/wink.gif Who are all these people that always vote and don't say why anyways? raptor must have 293472938 accounts he uses to sway polls based on what he thinks. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't disagree, if it was on the bubble it's a fold, but ITM people like to gambool it up, and I really think the range is looser than the 'loose' on SNGPT.. therefore it's a call (even on the 'loose' setting, which I didn't check before voting 'call', it's -0.1% EV)

Well, if the villain is a good player, wouldn't he limp or raise less with a strong PP? Plays like this usually mean Ax or small PP. I have no clue what the EV here is but I'll call in this scenario without hesitation.

I just made a similar fold on the bubble a few hours ago. With a healthy stack size on the bubble, no need to gamble.

I voted call. I didn't do any calcs. I would figure a pretty wide range for the big stack and for most would take JJ+ out of that range, making a 99 call a lot better.

I don't think it's a hugely obvious call, but I think it would still be a call with 88 and possibly 77.

This is exactly what I was typing, except he worded it better.

If the shortie had folded on the button and Villain was in the SB pushing into your BB, I think this would be an easy call. The fact that he is pushing through the medium stack into the shortie makes me more wary, but I think I would still call.

i call. shorty is not that short to make folding into second automatic, and you are more than likely ahead of his range here. that being said, it is my estimation that 99 is as low as i go.

edit: just did an icm on this one and used 22+, A2+, K5+, Q7+, J9+, 89s+, and it was a clear call.

edit edit: against the above push range, 99+ AQ+ becomes the correct calling range.

I just made a similar call and got shown down A2, but I was playing a $55. I think that this is a fairly easy call since its very unlikely that he has QQ+
