From the AP report of today's activities at the UN:

"There was no audible clapping for Powell."

Is there any other kind?

what do u think the average iq was of the population (set of people) that thought everyone clapped but so softly that it couldnt be heard? (those high-falutin' UN types really have manners, dont they?)

I often put my hands together and clap my index fingers together. It's like the Seinfeld episode where Jerry claps for the Tweety Pez dispenser. Hardly makes any sound at all. Maybe they were all clapping that way. I wish that they'd done that for Bush's awful state of the union address. The pre-planned ovations were a little too much for me. That idiotic little smile on Bush's face pushed me over the top.

Dubya stands for WHORE

The idiot little smile is his most endearing feature.

Probably the only variety that truly is inaudible. . .

Andy,

Actually, the answer is yes. The deaf "clap" by raising their hands to ear level and rotating them (their hands, not their ears) back and forth.
