At the time, I was of the opinion in this hand that if I raise at any point I am beaten. So since he was betting into me I just decided to call down. I know I played this hand bad.

I recall a hand where Toro was HU with ilya in a 2+2 game and on the river the board showing a 4 flush and ilya bet and toro called with the King high flush. I couldn't believe Toro didn't raise and he said "he only calls me with the ace" and I said "he doesn't call with the jack?" (Q was on board). So now I'm trying to learn where I should raise and where I should just call because worse hands won't pay me off anyway.

Early in $6+.50 turbo, no reads.

Alright, so this is an easy turn raise. Or an easy river raise. Because he could easily have a straight or a lower flush or a set or an overpair and pay me off anyway right?

I don't know what I was thinking, flame away.

OK, on the flop, you want to either lead out, or raise villain on this hand to disguise the flush draw. That way, when you get it, there's greater possibility that you get paid off.

Doh! This is a $6.50 on Stars. Raise on the river.

Yes, I realized this afterwards. This hand was in the middle of my "overthink period".

I'm just worried I'm thinking too hard about beating donks and when I move up the same obvious moves that worked on donks won't work on better players.
