.5 STT 9 handed, start with 2000 chips

20-40 blinds

I have AKo in the SB with 1940 chips

MP player with 1600 chips raises to 720.

Everyone folds to me. I re-raise allin.
BB Folds.

Villian calls allin.

I had no reads yet and just went on instinct knowing that I'd either have him dominated (AQ, AJ), tied (AK), or be in a coinflip, or maybe be against (AA or KK).

How was this play?

I would not push in this siutation. I have 48.5 times the big blind, so there is no reason to get into a coin flip this early in the tourney.

I would call his bet and see what the flop brings.

Did you say .5 STT, like 50 cents?

With no regard to $/hr, I would fold for sure. I'm sure there will be better opportunities in this game than a probable coinflip from an insane bet.
