Opponent is a very strong tag mulitabler (17/12/2.x) who most likely views me as a fairly solid.

I've been trying to get my WtSD (went to showdown) ratio up lately and not sure whether people think this situation is marginal.

This looks brutal to me. The pot is so small on the turn... and then the river just call? Weird...

Did you think about checking the turn? That will help out the WTSD.

I don't think you can check on the turn. I've become a bigger proponent of it of late, but there are way too manyhand you just can't give a free card to. There are two flush draws, all kinds of straight draws, and all kinds of overcards to your 8.

Why does it say "3 players" when there are only two of you? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Anyway, preflop, flop, and turn are fine. The SB's range of check-raising hands here is just way too broad to lay it down.

But I would raise the river. He doesn't have AK, so the only reasonable hands you lose to are AT, 44, and 88, while beating everything else he would check-raise the turn with.

holy crappoly.

raise that river!!!!! what iss with your tight ass!?!?

on the turn i call it down. and simply call down unimproved. too many good draws out there that a sb would play this way.

Of course that is a raise on the river. However, I am getting sick of you all never reading the original post in detail.

He said "I've been trying to get my WtSD (went to showdown) ratio up lately."

Definitely do not fold turn. Raise river, you can be pretty darn sure you are ahead here. I do not think this hand exhibits the qualities that you want to 'get to sd'
