IMO it would be a good push. I wouldnt be suprised if someone else calls you with a worse hand and with the blinds that high you can be swallowed up pretty quick if you dont make a move.

Its pretty hard to really make this a -EV play, the only question is if its better to let the SB push into the BB.

If he is aggressive and the big stacks are loose this might be a better play, but in most cases you should just go ahead and push.

More and more I think about it...I think it's a bad push. I think the other shortstack would have busted before me. Not sure though...which is why I pushed.

Not to be rude, but by the time you are playing the 55s this should really be a standard push IMO. Remember you arent playing to sneak into 3rd with 7 chips either and outlast the other guy. Get yourself into good position for 1st and 2nd.

Actually I believe that pushing here gives me a better chance of getting at least 3rd place than folding does. It's not that Im eschewing third place to bravely go for first.
