I'm surprised you fell for it. If he had a family emergency, he would have just left, not taken the time to write anything.

This reminds me of a time I was playing NL live, and someone took about 4909 minutes, sighed about 50 times, begrudgingly said "Let's see what you have" then reraised me twice the pot.

Of COURSE he has it.

I wasn't in the hand, and I didn't believe him. Just didn't like what he did. But I agree with Mr J, "PEOPLE LIE IN POKER?" is a pretty naive reaction on my part. Appreciate the feedback guys.

I can honestly say that every time I have seen someone do this, they are telling the truth about their hand. There was one game in particular in which a guy did it three times and was telling the truth each time.
