My reccomendation is to play in the morning, as early as possible. You don't want to be playing in the afternoon in the Vegas summer heat.

October will be great for afternoon golf. It might be the best month of the year for weather.

I read something about a course in Primm being very good and reasonably priced. All the info I have however. I think Primm is under an hour drive.

During the 2+2 gathering in June, 10 of us played at a course called Aliante. It's somewhat new, compared to most of the Las Vegas courses. Green fees were $55 in the afternoon IIRC, and that included cart. I thought the greens were a little erratic, but overall the layout and course was a good deal for the money, considering how expensive golf can get down there.

This has been discussed at least once. Use the search function.
