Wow, I just saw the biggest lag I can even imagine at party 3-6. Blew through 500 bucks real quick. VPIP 91, PFR 40 something. I ISO raised this guy with all kinds of crap I'd never ever raise with. My numbers from this table say it all:

202 hands,
VPIP 27.23
BB/100 27.68

Now so this isn't just a brag post /images/graemlins/grin.gif I'm curios, how much will you loosen up to get a piece of a lag like this. His first two hands against me he luckboxed and hit a gut shot and a river two pair that he pumped. Then I saw him pump and showdown hands like 64o etc At this point I rebought and attacked him like crazy. Here are some of the more interesting hands that I obviously would never play like this if not for the circumstances (other than the first, which I included to show how crazy this dude is:

These hands were all good and there are some nuttier ones I don't feel like digging up. I basically would raise first in (he was two places to my left) with any A, nearly any K some suited Q's etc.) after that the rest of the table followed suit so I got a little more selective, but I also had to call a few more raiseds onnce other tried to iso as well. Just curious as to how much you guys loosen up your starting hand requirements against someone like this.

Good luck,
Matt

Hand 1 and 2 look fine, but hand 3 is a little over the top. Even if this guy is a total manic Q2s does not have enough equity to play out of position. What is your line going to be if you don't hit a flop? Get to showdown with queen deuce high? Q2s is a bad hand and should be folded preflop in almost any situation outside of the blinds.

Don't let yourself go crazy even against a manic. He is going to be showing down and overplaying awful hands. Don't do the same. The only way to win against a manic is with proper hand selection and iso raises

Are you sure?

From the hands you posted it looks like you for a LOT of help from the deck.

Nice score nonetheless. Add him to your list, maybe he can pay you some more.

Haha, My bad dude. I meant to include the results there to illustrate what a wacko this guy was. He had something like j5o and went all the way with it.

I said I pretty much raised Qxs to iso him. Now you guys are right, that was one that's more extreme, but I played many hands against him and it was basically a situation where I'd either win a gigantic pot off him or fold, like I obviously would have in this situation. However, don't ttake this reply as one of those [censored] posts defednding what I did and telling you how I'm great and you're all wrong. I appreciate the input you gave.

Good luck,
Matt

I think I'm missing something here.

How do you raise to isolate someone behind you?

EStreet20

Forgot to explain that. Any time this guy played a raised pot he'd re raise. So if I was first in and made it two bets to go, the players between us would fold (unless he had a legit hand and he was pretty weak tight) then the crazy guy would reraise and even in a game like this no one else wants to call three bets preflop without a big hand. Sorry if I worded my post in a dipshit way, I was really just attempt ing to se how much the more expert players would loosen up to get at a player like this.

There are way better "playing a crazy LAG" stories in no-limit. One night I followed this super lag around and won 6 buyins from only him. I watched him lose a total of about 3k in 4 hours playing 100-400NL.
