Creedence Clearwater Revival.

If you think Pearl Jam, while still an incredible band in its own right, is better than CCR you should probably find a hammer with which to beat yourself to death.

Is it bad if I don't like any of these bands?

Blargh. Nirvana. Bringing about the grunge movement was nice, but they are HARDLY one of 'the greatest'. The other three there can contend, but that one I disagree with.

Anyone see the actual USA Today poll (dunno if this was done in parallel to that)? Pearl Jam...wonderful. I also can't believe Journey was in the top 5 and DMB was in the top 20.

I am not saying that those two are the greatest american band rather I am saying out of those 4, those two are my favorite.

I may be mental, I've been laughing at this for more than 2 minutes.

And I keep rereading it and cracking up all over again.

no, it's something to be proud of.

i still don't see how two of these bands even made the original 16, much less this far. it's like Stony Brook and Gardner Webb playing Kansas and UNC in March Madness.

I can't believe Nirvana is beating GNR.

Apparently no one has heard Appetite for Destruction.

Also Pearl Jam over Nirvana any day.

so I'm not the only one who said this? Honestly no one in the final four should even be top 10. One band in particular *cough* Doors *cough* wouldn't be in my top 100

Good results so far. Both Metallica and Guns & Roses may have some good hits, but I cant stand the bands themselves.
