View Full Version : Using Auto Buttons when Bluffing/Semi-bluffing?

Any players on here make use of the auto-action buttons when bluffing/semi-bluffing? One scenario from game I was just playing:

Hero is KQ off in middle position.

1 limper, hero and blinds call.

Flop is JT4 all different suits. Is checked to limper who bets, hero raises, blinds fold, limper calls.

Turn is blank (7h or something) limper takes a few seconds to act and I auto-select Bet/Raise...

For this scenario I obviously don't make this play if re-raised on the flop and I definitely don't do it all the time -- just on occasion.

Thoughts? Anyone think this can make a bluff/semi-bluff more convincing?

Yes, I have done this. You really need to pick out who this will work on though. For the most part a fish won't notice, and a good players are probably multi-tabling and won't notice.

The best target is those people are starting to learn but not really any good yet. Most of them have probably read something about internet tells and think they are getting reads on you because you auto-raise-any.

Fish don't always notice although it seems like they do get scared some times unless they are completely oblivious (esp at 2/4 & 3/6). Seems like HU against a good player they would notice though (even if multi-tabling since it's usually instant).
