We know this is the right move for Redd in financial terms. You can't fault him for not wanting to leave 20 million on the table. The question is: is this a good move for him as far as his basketball career is concerned? With Redd, the Cavs would be poised to take one of the top spots in the East. Is Bogut enough to make the Bucks a playoff team this coming year? Will they ever make a run for the finals?

The other side of the story: The Cavs once again failed to get Lebron a suitable second man. How long does his patience last? Is he going to demand a trade, or walk out when his contract is up (to New York of course /images/graemlins/laugh.gif)?

I honestly think there was a slim to none chance he was ever leaving the Bucks. 20 million is ALOT of money to just throw away. 5 or 6 mil maybe but no way anyone isn't taking 20 million more to stay with a team. The Cavs are kinda screwed b/c no one is sure Lebron will stay with them when his contract runs out.

Lebron needs to leave ASAP. Cleveland will forever be a loser.

It would have taken a lot more than just Redd for CLE to challenge MIA, IND, and DET in the East.

Isn't Michael Finely basically up for grabs? I think he would worth the Cavs taking a chance on because yes they need to do something.

All conjecture, but Cleveland was on pace for a 50+ win season last year before the ownership/coaching change that resulted in a team wide meltdown. That was without a reliable second scoring option, and no outside shooting. Considering that Lebron should be making another quantum leap in ability as he reaches his junior class in college, and the Cavs organization should know better than to let instability kill them again, a 55+ would have been more than feasable with Redd, with 58 being a remote possibility.
