K9, Q9 or a set beats you. You are most likely going to have the best hand or tie for the best hand. Raise.

I would raise the turn. I think you should raise the river.

ok, no more saying to raise the river w/o saying if you'd call a push.

i'd likely raise the turn, but sometimes not. having not raised the turn, i'd raise the river, looking for a call (so a smallish raise), and i'd probably call a push, especially at the 33s. i'd probably do the same at the 50s, and most likely at the 100s. it's possibly a leak though /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't mind not raising the turn (because then you *are* gonna have to call a push), but raising the river is automatic. Your kicker's a J, remember?

Calling a push is close. I probably would, but not if the board wasn't paired (I might not raise then, though).

2+2 is not affiliated with nor does it endorse the ramblings of this poster.

so you wouldn't raise the river for value with 3rd pair? deep.

Oh hey, I took a two hour nap and now half the stuff I posted on various forums this morning makes no sense. Cool!

I wouldn't raise if the J was a 2.
