How do you prevent them and get rid of them?

Oh and I'm talking about when you're running and you get a pain and it hurts (I don't know about any other kind).

Stop running.

Or you could hydrate better. Eat better. Stretch better. If you get them anyways, while running, putting your arms over your head while running may make you look foolish, but it should help loosen up the muscles.

Usually because of dehydration and/or a lack of potassium in your body. Make sure you are properly hydrated, and include a few bananas in your daily diet.
