The Glove

Post and discuss the best nickname you've ever gotten, why you got it, etc.

I have two, one each from separate groups of friends. 'The Glove' simply on the basis of my initials and Futureman because I am from the future. I prefer the latter, depite the fact that I share it with a great jazz musician.

i've had a variety of nicknames and i'll try to rattle them off in order

RED -i was born in texas, instantly moved to georgia and picked up the southern accent, i then moved back at 3 and talked like a red neck. so red stuck for a while and i believe one of my uncles still calls me that.

Necio -spanish for brat (for the most part) my grandma gave me that one

big texas - i moved from texas to seattle and most of my first friends out here were asians, so being 6'1 i towered over them.

big cat - i got wasted one night and proceeded to pretend i was puffy daddy, end of that story.

currently two of my friends call me Gil-dog and Gmoney.

In high school I was "The Dunking Swede" since I'm A) Swedish and B) dunked quite a bit.

Since then I've gotten out of shape and don't play much ball anymore, so I'm either "Swede" or "Stupid Swede" depending on the circumstances.

(Stupid) Swede

I was the only sophomore on my H.S. varsity basketball team and everyone ragged on me. My best friend's brother, who was a senior starter named me Squeek after the character on BASEketball. Little Bi*ch was also commonly used.

Freshman year in high school, kids were talking about porn, and i for some reason said "How about that All Black All Anal?". Everyone just stared at me stunned. I still have no idea why i said it /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

This spring I coached 8th grade lacrosse. First practice it's hot out, we're running and one kid pukes.

Next practice, I have the kids lined up in 2 lines for a 1 on 1 drill. One kid asks another "Am I up against you" the other answers "No, I'm with Derrick you're against the Puke-a-sorus."

I could barley keep from laughing and embarass the kid further. Kids can be mean, but come up with great nicknames.
