I am fortunate enough to be receiving some guidance from one of the players here as I learn 6 max via NL100.

First hand in question::

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

UTG ($59.35)
Hero ($115.55)
Button ($42.1)
SB ($96.85)
BB ($265.17)

Preflop: Hero is MP with J/images/graemlins/spade.gif, Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif. SB posts a blind of $0.5.
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $2</font>, Hero calls $2, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB (poster) calls $1.50, BB calls $1.

Flop: ($8) T/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 5/images/graemlins/spade.gif, K/images/graemlins/club.gif <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $4</font>, BB folds, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $8</font>, Hero calls $8, SB calls $4.

Turn: ($32) T/images/graemlins/spade.gif <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $10</font>, Hero calls $10, SB folds.

River: ($52) A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
UTG bets [$20].
Hero raises [$40].
UTG is all-In [$19.35]
Final Pot: $52

is this a bad play here, peeling one off on the flop with the OESD?

No, if you are reasonably confident the SB won't reraise. Your implied odds are good.

Yes. You're not closing the action and you really can't be 'reasonably sure' that the SB won't re-raise. Also, if the SB folds there go a decent amount of your implied odds. Just drop it, IMO.

FOLD FOLD FOLD his stacks are deep enough i told you this. If your drawing to a hand like that make sure its worth your time. Also the board paired on the turn. So even if you hit your hand it could be second best. Remeber if you are going to draw to a hand like this make sure his stacks are deep or that htere is a ton of money already in the pot that the odds make it clear. I wouldnt draw there as i wouldnt get paid the proper price. Can anyone calculate the odds im sure its negative EV there
