Hello all,

my reads were: SB-fish,MP1-Rock,MP3-SLP-A,CO-no read,Button-SLP-P.
My question what do you think here of my play i tried to check raise on the turn to isolate.
Should i fold against the thre bet of the rock?

What do you put this particular rock on when he open-limps in middle position? When you know him to be a rock maybe just call the turn since your attempted isolation of the button failed anyway?

I probably fold this hand on the flop to 1 SB, having missed the board and have yet to shown any strength.

You're getting 8:1 to your call. You are about 7:1 to make a pair on the turn (10s or As).. With limpers who could have anything, there's a decent chance you are still behind even if you make it.

I lay down these marginal calls at limit, with many people in the pot they end up costing you money if you improve your hand on the turn. I think a call on the flop is -EV.

are there more opinions on that?

I'm fine with your check raise. A whiff doesn't kill you here.

On the 3-bet, there are only a few reasonable hands that are beating you: a slowplayed set (which is doubtful given the stop-n-go), A6, and A2. Why do you classify villian as a rock? Would he open limp with A-any or not raise with AJ or better? Neither of these plays are generally associated with a rock.

Against most rocks, you can safely fold a middling hand like yours against a turn 3-bet. This 3-bet is pretty suspicious, though.

I think this is an easy flop fold.

Playing devil's advocate, with a large field there's a greater chance of being reverse dominated with the ace. Also, the T puts a straight draw on the board, which is also bad news in a multiway pot.

Having said that, I think that checkraising the flop is much better than calling, but I still lean towards a fold. If you're going to continue with the hand, calling is terrible IMO.

I think the Rock has AJ or AQ and has you outkicked on the turn. You can fold unless your curious, but curiosity killed the cat. Small pot anyway.
