Would you play this hand the same? Villian who called to the river has a VPIP of 21 and a river agg. of 1. Opponent who folds on the turn is LAG with a VPIP of 44

This is a perfect illustration of why PT stats are meaningless without reads. If villian is the type of player who pumps draws, then you may be in trouble. Otherwise, i think you see 2 pair more often than not.

edit: wow, i can read the board! 4 straight + 3 flush = you need to work on pairing the board on the river.

i would play this exactly the same way. villian just got lucky, it happens. just be glad he didn't check/raise you on the river. (but hopefuly you would have checked behind him) next time he won't catch his river card and you will profit.

I had been at the table about 50 hands when this hand came up. He seemed like a tight solid player. I watched him call rather than lead out when he was on the draw twice. However, he seemed like a tricky player who knew how to mix up his game.

Yeah no hope on pairing the board since the river put out the 3 flush and 4 straight. This was my main reason for not raising the river. I didn't think I'd get called by a hand I beat.

Yep. While I expect to win this hand even with that scary board I just call here too, since he's probably folding way too much when we are ahead and raising everytime we are behind.

don't use specific street AF numbers with a small sample.. just use the entire postflop AF #.

You cannot fold a set on the river for one bet getting 15 to 1.
