This seems all right to me. BB hasn't really acted like he has anything (though it's possible that he planned to raise the turn and then got scared when the nines paired or that he planned to raise the river after turning trips). Busted draws most likely won't call anyway (but perhaps will bluff if checked to), and I doubt any full house will fold. Also, a hand like 55 might check behind.

There aren't any better hands he will fold, and it is also unlikely Villain is still drawing on this river board without a showdown hand. I bet, because aces will call more often than bet and the average player rarely sees this river with a junk hand. I do think he will bet most hands that beat you.

I would always call this River. You will catch a Flush draw, Ace-high, or total random crap often enough.
