Don't have the HH in front of me. 200 NL, first orbit but the CO is a whiny bitch and can't stop complaining about everyone else's bad play. I really want to break him.

I'm on the button with T /images/graemlins/heart.gifJ /images/graemlins/heart.gif.

CO limps, I limp, blinds complete/check.

Flop ($8): 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif9 /images/graemlins/club.gifQ /images/graemlins/heart.gif

Amazing. Check to me, I bet $8. BB calls, CO calls.

Turn ($24): [7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif9 /images/graemlins/club.gifQ /images/graemlins/heart.gif] 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

BB checks, CO pushes for about $160.

Tempted just to break him!

I fold, BB folds.

So disappointing.

He has some of your outs. But you should call anyways, because it's more fun.

Meh. Not always, and definitely not first orbit at the table. Usually I'll lay low for a few orbits before turning up the heat. Also I didn't want the CO to reraise out of spite.

what a donktastic push. These huge overbets are so freaking lame. I do love picking their dumbass overbet off later on though. I had a guy open push a flop for about 100 into a 7 high flop when I made a set of 2's. Pot was probably 4 bucks...he open pushes for 100 and I of course call with my set. He had unimproved AK. He'd pulled this stunt a bunch of times, and I knew that he was going to do it one time when it was going to cost him.

i've gotten burned by the donk push before.

I raise with 23 on CO, bb calls.

flop comes 3 3 Q. he pushes, I call.

he flips QQ

laugh, I feel your pain there.

It didn't burn you. You would have lost your stack no matter what line he took.

I don't know, I might have put him on 3 with better kicker at some point.

but yeah, I would have lost half my stack at least regardless of his line.

43 is less likely than QQ, no?

fair enough. whatever. it just sucked. sorry, man. just shows that these overbets are always the nuts. or unimproved AK.

hehe yeah.

I find that river overbets are almost always the nuts though.

agreed. i always laugh when it's HU and the flop is 88T and the action goes check, check, check, check, push $100 into $2 pot. Um... ok. I fold unless I can beat your 8.

actually the guys that tend to do this won't always have the nuts...they'll just think they do....it might be nut flush but you've got a full house, or it could be the band end of a straight....sooner or later you can pick them off if they are doing this with frequency...if it's just someone that does it every once in a while, then yeah its the nuts.

yes you are right.

what I meant was that its almost always a hand that beats TPTK or overpair.
